Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Container Team Lead to drive the deployment, optimisation, and governance of containerised platforms within a managed service environment. The role requires deep expertise in
OpenShift and OpenShift AI, including lifecycle management of Large Language Models (LLMs), automation initiatives, and ensuring SLA-driven operational excellence.
This position combines hands-on technical leadership with platform governance and team management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deployment, configuration, and optimisation of OpenShift and OpenShift AI platforms
- Manage lifecycle of containerised workloads, including LLM deployments
- Oversee Kubernetes-based orchestration and platform scalability
- Implement automation frameworks for provisioning, monitoring, and patching
- Ensure high availability, security compliance, and SLA adherence
- Drive performance tuning and capacity planning
- Lead a team of platform engineers and DevOps specialists
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to containerise and operationalise models
- Ensure governance, documentation, and operational best practices
Required Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in container platforms and cloud-native environments
- Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Experience deploying and managing LLMs in containerised environments
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and GitOps
- Experience in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
- Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
- Proven team leadership experience
Preferred Certifications
- Red Hat OpenShift Certification
- Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
- Cloud-native platform certifications
