About the Role
Watermelon is building the operating system for the F&B ecosystem across the GCC spanning marketplace, fintech, software, and services. Content is how this ecosystem comes alive.
We're looking for a Content Creator who can turn real business problems, product moments, and cultural insights into scroll-stopping, story-driven content. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, execution, and speed ideal for someone who's equally comfortable behind the camera, in the edit timeline, and in front of the lens.
You'll work closely with designers, strategists, product teams, and clients to create content that's informative, entertaining, and unmistakably Watermelon.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Execution
- Conceptualize, shoot, and edit short-form video content for social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, WhatsApp).
- Produce platform-native content including reels, short explainers, testimonials, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Capture on-ground shoots (events, kitchens, offices, client locations) and turn raw footage into compelling narratives.
- Confidently appear on camera when required hosting, explaining, reacting, or storytelling as naturally as you would behind it.
Storytelling & Ideation
- Translate business insights, product features, and industry pain points into engaging content ideas.
- Collaborate with the Creative Lead and Senior Content Creator on content strategies, calendars, and campaign ideas.
- Bring a strong sense of pacing, humor, and clarity to every piece of content.
- Create content that resonates across cultures and audiences in the GCC.
Brand & Quality Control
- Ensure all content aligns with Watermelon's visual language, tone of voice, and brand standards.
- Maintain a high bar for visual quality, storytelling, and consistency across channels.
- Adapt content styles based on audience (buyers, suppliers, partners, investors).
Collaboration & Speed
- Work closely with designers, motion artists, and performance marketers to optimize content for reach and engagement.
- Manage quick turnarounds without compromising quality.
- Support client projects when required (branding content, social content, campaign assets).
What You'll Need
- 25 years of experience as a Content Creator, Videographer, or Social Content Specialist.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English spoken and written.
- Strong skills in video shooting and editing (mobile-first content experience is a must).
- Comfortable and confident speaking on camera, not just filming others.
- Proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects (basic), Final Cut, CapCut, or similar.
- A strong eye for composition, lighting, pacing, and storytelling.
- Deep understanding of social media formats, trends, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to experiment.
Nice to Have
- Experience creating content for startups, tech platforms, or B2B brands.
- Motion graphics or animation basics.
- Photography skills.
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or founders.
