The Content Editor is responsible for reviewing, editing, and improving written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit, proofread, and refine all written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammatical quality, and alignment with brand voice and publication standards.
- Manage content production cycles, including coordinating publishing schedules and maintaining content calendars for web and social platforms.
- Develop and execute content strategies that support organizational objectives across digital and print channels.
- Create, design, and publish social media postsincluding static and video contentand engage professionally with online inquiries.
- Monitor and curate member, partner, and industry news for relevant content sharing across platforms.
- Implement SEO strategies, including keyword research, content optimization, and regular SEO audits to improve search visibility and performance.
- Update the website regularly with news, events, staff changes, and client information, ensuring consistent brand representation across all sites.
- Develop, design, and distribute email newsletters, announcements, and mass mailings while tracking engagement metrics.
- Support the planning and promotion of inperson and virtual events, and manage the creation of print and digital publicity materials in collaboration with vendors.
- Maintain strict brand consistency across all communication channels, ensuring all content adheres to established guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as an editor, content writer, or similar role, with prior experience in a law firm considered essential.
- Strong command of grammar, writing style, and editorial best practices.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and digital content standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
