Job Description

Overall Purpose of Role :

The role holder will be responsible for identifying, implementing and sustaining the Lean Six Sigma initiatives across the entire business, returning significant financial returns and customer benefits. The role will involve developing close working relationships with key stakeholders and delivery teams at all levels to achieve these goals; also they may be required to coach and train others in Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities :

Perform a detailed study of the current processes involved in the organization and deliver clear findings and recommendations to support process optimization.

Conduct time-motion studies as required and create VSM to focus on key areas of improvement.

Work towards Capex and Opex optimisation by analysing multiple options in terms of ROI, cost saving, need analysis, etc. to implement financially sound improvements.

Collaborate with members of multiple departments to implement the identified improvements while ensuring that Safety and Quality objectives are not compromised.

Drive digitization of activities to improve data collection and analysis to reduce manual efforts and process inefficiencies.

Research and share best practices used in other industries to relevant stakeholders within the organization and implement suitable practices in line with organization needs.

Identify and manage key Improvement projects that yield significant cost savings in line with the department's goal and including the management of Lean Six Sigma projects to achieve measurable results.

Follow DMAIC/DFSS project methodology utilising quality management tools and statistical methods to achieve project objectives

Provide mentoring and coaching to stakeholders, team members and colleagues on Lean Six Sigma tools, techniques and methodologies, as required.

Address issues of project stagnation and share lessons learnt with a wider audience for ensuring continuous improvement momentum

Update and present project progress to management, ensuring transparent and accurate reporting

Deliver Hard Cost Savings as per the Goal set by the department manager for achieving agreed financial targets

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures as applicable.

Ensure compliance with Information Security policies and procedures as applicable.

Education:

Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering.

Preferred to have Bachelor's in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.

Certification:

Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt and above (preferred)

Experience:

5+ years of experience in implementing improvements in fabrication and related industries, preferably with EPC industries. Preference to candidates with hands-on experience working in yard with strong knowledge in fabrication/welding & related activities

3+ years of experience in data analysis and digitization activities

Strong background implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Ability to lead and manage projects throughout their full lifecycle.

Strong communication and presentation management skills

Strong understanding of HSES principles and knowledgeable in Energy optimisation activities
