Job Description

A leading international engineering and construction group delivering major infrastructure and energy projects across the region is seeking a Contract Administrator to join its team in Riyadh.

Position: Contract Administrator

Location: Riyadh ACWA, KSA

Type of Employment: Permanent / Direct Hire

Duration: Long Term

Rotation: 105/15

Key responsibilities

Contractual Knowledge and Strategy:

• Strong understanding of FIDIC contract conditions and the ability to apply relevant clauses to protect the contractor's position.

• Experience in issuing and managing Notices of Delay, maintaining delay registers, and preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims.

Programme Management and Delay Analysis:

• Clear understanding of the link between delay events and programme impact.

• Ability to perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) or other delay analysis methods to demonstrate how delays impact the critical path and project completion.

• Proficiency in identifying affected activities, assessing their criticality, and preparing substantiated

EOT claims with supporting documentation.

Strong Communication and Professionalism:

• Ability to handle client interactions calmly and professionally, even under pressure.

• Skilled in drafting clear, concise, and well-supported contractual correspondence, including responses to client rejections.

• Confidence in escalating issues with structured position papers, when necessary, based on facts, contemporaneous records, and contractual entitlements.

Proactive Claim Preparation:

• A proactive approach to claim preparation, starting from the first occurrence of a delay event rather than waiting until the end of the project.

• Ability to continuously gather and maintain contemporaneous records to substantiate claims (e.g., submittal logs, approval dates, procurement timelines, meeting minutes)

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Proven track record in managing claims and EOT processes on large-scale EPC projects, ideally in complex environments such as NEOM, Red Sea, Qiddiya, or similar developments.

•Technical Expertise: Familiarity with construction planning and scheduling tools, such as Primavera P6, and the ability to work closely with planners to assess programme impacts.

•Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients.
