Job Description

Contract Administrator – Oil & Gas Upstream

Purpose:

Administer and manage upstream oil & gas contracts to ensure contractual compliance, commercial protection, and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer drilling, well services, EPC, operations, maintenance, and consultancy contracts.
  • Monitor contractor performance, deliverables, and compliance with contract terms.
  • Review and process variations, change orders, claims, and extensions of time.
  • Support tendering activities, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain contract records, correspondence, and contractual documentation.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Project teams.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and contract closeout activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of contract administration experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
  • Strong experience in drilling, production, EPC, and field operations contracts.
  • Knowledge of contract management, claims, and commercial negotiations.

Skills:

  • Strong contract administration and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC and oil & gas contract forms.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar contract management systems.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
