Job Description

About us:

We are a leading real estate development company, recognized for delivering exceptional projects globally and setting new benchmarks in the industry.

We're looking for someone with 3–5 years of construction law or contract management experience to handle FIDIC agreements. You'll draft and review contracts, manage claims and variations, track contractual notices, and handle commercial correspondence. You'll work closely with the Engineer and our team on daily project risks and milestones.

Contract Drafting & Review

  • Draft, review, and negotiate FIDIC construction agreements (Red/Yellow/Silver Book) and consultancy agreements (White Book).
  • Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and project-specific requirements.

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Control of contractual documentation – maintain a structured filing and tracking system.
  • Monitor contract obligations – track milestones, deliverables, and compliance.
  • Manage notices – prepare, issue, and track all contractual notices as required under FIDIC.

Variations, Claims & Change Orders

  • Preparation, assessment, and management of variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Evaluate entitlement under contract terms and FIDIC clauses.
  • Prepare and respond to claims, including delay, disruption, and extra work claims.

Commercial & Contractual Correspondence

  • Draft professional correspondence related to contractual rights, obligations, disputes, and instructions.
  • Maintain records of all commercial communications.

Collaboration & Supervision

  • Work closely with the Engineer on daily project matters, critical contractual risks, claims, and milestones.

Required Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in law. A master's in construction law is a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of legal practice or contract management experience, preferably with exposure to construction law.
  • Proven experience in construction projects (civil, infrastructure, or building works).
  • Strong working knowledge of FIDIC contract suites (Red, Yellow, White Books) – drafting, administration, and claim management.
  • Variations, change orders, claims assessment, notices, and contractual correspondence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with document control systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex contract clauses.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for document control.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for correspondence and team coordination.
  • Ability to work under supervision while independently managing daily tasks.
