Job Description:
Provide contracts support to management & Projects Team in the preparation and / or review of contracts / subcontracts / supplier agreements. General contract administration duties, including the handling of major change orders, preparation of contractual / general correspondence, claims and negotiations of EPC, oil & gas and other projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contract & Change Order Development and Negotiation.
- Support DOPET management team in handling major change orders, claims and negotiations of EPC, oil & gas and general projects.
- Ability to prepare and edit contracts between clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review, respond and negotiate claims and change order requests received from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Contract Analysis, Compliance & Administration.
- Review extensive contract documents to extract critical terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance of subcontractors and suppliers with terms & conditions of respective contracts.
- Create organized summaries of essential clauses for easy reference.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to contractual agreements.
- Support project teams in the preparation of general correspondence.
- Administer the contractual daily requirements and reporting of claim and variation progress.
- Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner.
Risk Management:
- Conduct detailed risk assessments at various stages of the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Contracts to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/quantity surveying, Construction Management, Law or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Engineer or similar role in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law and risk management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
Preferred (Years/ Job Level/ Industry):
- CPCM Certified Professional Contract Manager / CCM Contract & Commercial Management with strong Contracts Administration experience with company setting in EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning), Shutdown and Manpower Supply.
