Manage the administration of contracts from pre-award to project completion.
Review tender documents, contracts, specifications, and commercial terms to identify contractual risks and obligations.
Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and purchase agreements.
Provide contractual advice and support to project managers and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor compliance with contract terms, project milestones, and contractual deliverables.
Manage variation orders, extension of time (EOT) claims, loss and expense claims, and dispute resolution.
Prepare contractual correspondence, notices, claims, and responses in accordance with contract requirements.
Lead negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on contractual matters.
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team on cost control, payment applications, and final account settlement.
Maintain proper documentation and records of contractual communications and project correspondence.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Support project close-out activities, including final account negotiations and contract completion.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in contract administration or commercial management within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including PSSCOC, FIDIC, SIA, NEC, or other standard forms of contract.
Experience in managing large-scale building, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
Sound understanding of contract law, procurement processes, claims management, and dispute resolution.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Familiarity with contract management software is an advantage.
Meticulous, commercially aware, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
