Job Purpose
The Contracting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all contracting operations, with a strong focus on aluminum faade projects. The role ensures efficient project execution, cost control, vendor management, and compliance with technical and contractual standards to deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Contracting & Project Management
- Lead and manage contracting activities for aluminum faade works and general construction projects.
- Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to ensure technical and commercial accuracy.
- Oversee project execution phases, ensuring compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor project milestones, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project delivery.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and review contracts, scope of work, and performance agreements.
- Ensure contractor performance aligns with company standards and project requirements.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
- Monitor expenditures and track project profitability.
- Approve variations, change orders, and validate progress invoices.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all contracting documents, permits, and approvals are accurately prepared and maintained.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, technical standards, and quality policies.
- Prepare periodic project reports for management review.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant field.
- 510 years of experience in contracting, with solid exposure to aluminum facades and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of faade systems, installation techniques, and project execution.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and technical teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Based in New Cairo with required site visits depending on project needs.
- Full-time, on-site position.
