We are recruiting an experienced Contracts Director specialising in data centre development for a leading developer in Dubai who has extensive expertise in negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements for mission-critical facilities.
Strong background in core location agreements, data centre site arrangements, core space agreements, capacity commitments, and strategic infrastructure contracts, supporting projects from site acquisition and development through construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial and contractual strategy for data centre development and expansion programmes.
- Negotiate and manage core location agreements, including site, land, infrastructure, power, connectivity, and related access arrangements.
- Develop and negotiate agreements governing data centre core spaces, technical areas, white space, equipment rooms, utility areas, and associated infrastructure.
- Manage contracts covering data centre capacity, space allocation, power availability, connectivity, cooling, security, and critical infrastructure.
- Lead commercial negotiations with landlords, developers, operators, utilities, infrastructure providers, contractors, suppliers, and strategic customers.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex MSAs, leases, licences, development agreements, service agreements, capacity agreements, and associated schedules.
- Establish appropriate contractual frameworks for new data centre locations and expansion programmes.
- Manage contractual risk, liability, indemnities, warranties, insurance, termination rights, service levels, performance obligations, and change control.
- Partner closely with Legal, Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Programme Management teams.
- Provide senior-level commercial advice to executive stakeholders and ensure contracts support programme objectives, operational resilience, and long-term capacity requirements.
- Oversee contract governance, compliance, variations, claims, disputes, renewals, and commercial performance.
