Airswift is seeking for Contracts Lead to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.

QUALIFICATION

Job Purpose

Lead the hands-on postaward contract management activities associated with a multibilliondollar EPCC contract. The role contributes directly to ensuring safe project delivery on time and within budget.

Reporting and Relationships

Reports to: Head of Contracts

Direct Reports: None

Internal Contacts

  • Frequent contact with PMT team, P&D, Legal and Supply
  • Periodic contact with Finance, Insurance, and Tax

External Contacts

  • Frequent contact with EPC contractor

  • Ensure all activities undertaken comply with antitrust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Responsible for undertaking hands-on commercial and contracting activities related to all aspects of post-award contract management of the EPCC contract.
  • Support delivery of actions within the Value Protection Plan and manage contractual correspondence and changes in line with approved processes to deliver best value for company and shareholders.
  • Identify contractual risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to regular commercial and contract performance reports prepared for project leadership.
  • Work with the Performance & Delivery Claims team to ensure robust management of any claims and disputes that may arise.
  • Maintain close and effective relationships with other Project Management Team (PMT) members and Functional Managers, Legal, and Risk Management to obtain and provide information regarding contract issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate preparation for contract evaluations and endofcontract closeouts in accordance with relevant company procedures.
  • Able to work in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures, significant schedule pressures, and high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost, and schedule performancerequiring accuracy, initiative, and strong multitasking abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering).
  • 8 years of experience in a business-related function or discipline, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry, and 1 year in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/subcontractor/service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience in Lump Sum Major Energy Projects (postaward) in a similar position.
  • Hands-on experience managing contractors including:
    • Drafting contractual correspondence
    • Managing change orders/variations
    • Providing timely contractual advice to the project management team
