About the Role Contracts Officer

The Contracts Officer is responsible for managing contracts for projects and corporate operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and project objectives. This role involves drafting, reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring contracts with vendors, consultants, contractors, and clients to minimize risk and protect organizational interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts with vendors, consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate with project, legal, finance, and operations teams to finalize contract terms and conditions
  • Monitor contract execution, timelines, deliverables, and compliance obligations
  • Maintain a centralized contract register and ensure proper documentation and filing
  • Support negotiations and provide recommendations on contractual terms, liabilities, and risk mitigation
  • Track contract renewals, extensions, and amendments; ensure timely actions
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on contract interpretation and obligations
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and analysis of contracts for management review
  • Support audits and internal/external compliance checks related to contracts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
  • 35 years of experience in contracts management, preferably in construction, real estate, or large corporate environments
  • Knowledge of UAE contract laws, construction contracts, and commercial agreements
  • Familiarity with ERP or contract management systems preferred
