Join Our Team: Contracts Team Lead at EtihadWE

We are seeking a talented and experienced Contracts Team Lead. In this key role, you will manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle under the Supply Chain Division. This role involves developing, reviewing, negotiating, and executing engineering and commercial contracts in alignment with EtihadWE goals, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, legal, finance, and project management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and finalize contracts, including engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), service level agreements (SLAs), annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and supply agreements.
  • Ensure contract terms align with EtihadWE policies, project specifications, and legal requirements.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors, contractors, and service providers to secure favorable terms and mitigate commercial and legal risks.
  • Support technical and commercial teams during pre-award and post-award negotiation processes.
  • Identify potential contractual risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal policies during the contract lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, engineering, finance, and legal teams for end-to-end contract execution.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and ensure timely renewal, amendment, and closure of contracts.
  • Analyze contract terms for opportunities to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards on contract status, risks, deviations, and KPIs.
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all contract-related correspondence, amendments, and approvals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Commercial Law is preferred.
  • Experience in contract management, preferably in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.
  • Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts including EPC, supply, service, and maintenance contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, commercial terms, and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Understanding of cost structures, pricing models, payment terms, and budget impact related to contract
