Mandate of Commercial Strategy & Market Development Division

The division is responsible for driving commercial strategy and enabling sustained, profitable growth by identifying, developing, and supporting in executing current business and new business opportunities.

Role Purpose

The Coordinator – Commercial Strategy & Market Development serves as an integral support resource within the department. This role provides operational, research, and administrative support to enable the team to function effectively and efficiently across commercial strategy and market development activities. The position is designed as a structured entry point for UAE National talent, offering progressive exposure to commercial strategy, operational performance monitoring, and market entry processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading commercial strategy planning aligned to growth and diversification objectives

• Developing Financial Targets, Reporting Functional KPIs, Predictive Analytics

• Enabling effectiveness in sales across channels

• Leading strategic & operational initiatives and projects

• Monitoring & managing operational Performance in line with defined metrics

• Optimizing cost Structure & budgeting

• Providing Project Management expertise & oversight for priority tasks

• Evaluating new markets and business lines and support in the set up

• Conduct structured market analysis

• Create robust business case for strategic initiatives

Responsibilities

Research & Market Intelligence:

• Conduct primary and secondary research to support market evaluations, competitive landscape assessments, and business case development
• Compile, synthesise, and present research findings in structured formats including reports, briefing notes, and slide decks
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market opportunities relevant to Daman's growth agenda
• Support the preparation of presentations and data summaries for senior management and stakeholder meetings

Team & Stakeholder Support:

• Shadow senior team members across workstreams to gain exposure to market development processes, business case methodology, and commercial strategy
• Provide general coordination and administrative support to the team
• Support cross-functional collaboration by acting as a liaison between the Commercial Strategy & Market Development team and other internal departments
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of documents required for CXO and Board-level governance processes

Commercial & Business Development Exposure:

• Gain progressive exposure to new business line design, partnership engagements, and regulatory interactions as directed by senior team members
• Support business development activities through research, documentation, and coordination as the role evolves
• Develop familiarity with Daman's core and adjacent business areas, including health insurance operations, to inform meaningful contributions over time

Meeting Coordination & Administration:

• Manage scheduling, logistics, and coordination of internal and external meetings on behalf of the department
• Prepare, document, and circulate minutes of meetings (MOM), tracking agreed actions and follow-ups through to resolution
• Maintain department trackers, calendars, and documentation repositories to ensure information is organised and accessible
• Coordinate travel arrangements, visitor management, and logistical requirements for the team as needed
