Job Description

Position Objective:

Lead Core Network architecture and design activities across IP/MPLS, DWDM Transport, IGW, and Landing Station domains. Responsible for developing scalable and resilient network designs, ensuring compliance with telecom standards, supporting network modernization initiatives, and managing technical design governance across all core network domains.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture and detailed design activities for IP/MPLS Core, DWDM Transport, IGW, and Landing Station domains.
  • Develop and review HLDs, LLDs, topology diagrams, and integration designs.
  • Define network architecture standards, resiliency models, redundancy mechanisms, and routing frameworks.
  • Conduct topology studies, traffic analysis, routing optimization, and backbone scalability assessments.
  • Review and approve network design changes, migration approaches, and integration models.
  • Design MPLS backbone solutions including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS-TE, EVPN, QoS, multicast, and VPN services.
  • Lead DWDM/OTN architecture design, including ROADM, optical protection, long-haul transport, and backbone evolution planning.
  • Review IGW architecture, submarine cable integration, and international connectivity designs.
  • Validate vendor solutions, technical submissions, compliance matrices, and engineering deliverables.
  • Participate in RFI/RFP technical evaluations and ensure alignment with long-term network architecture strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during design and implementation phases.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in telecom core network design, architecture, or transport engineering.
  • Strong expertise in IP/MPLS, DWDM/OTN transport networks, IGW architecture, and submarine cable integration.
  • Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Segment Routing, MPLS-TE, EVPN, QoS, multicast, and VPN technologies.
  • Strong understanding of optical transport technologies, network resiliency, traffic engineering, and backbone optimization.
  • Experience with multi-vendor telecom environments, technical evaluations, and design governance processes.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
