Role Description
1. Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Develop and implement long-term strategic initiatives to drive business growth, profitability, and operational excellence in the travel sector.
- Lead the formulation and execution of corporate strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and vision.
- Oversee market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress toward business goals.
2. Business Development & Client Relationships
- Capable of generating additional leads for the company.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key corporate clients, industry partners, and travel agencies.
- Lead negotiations for high-value partnerships and corporate contracts.
- Identify opportunities for expanding the company's reach in new markets and verticals.
- Oversee the development and delivery of bespoke travel solutions for corporate clients, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
3. Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of the travel business, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery of services.
- Work closely with the operations team to streamline processes, improve workflows, and ensure the business runs smoothly.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices, including health and safety, sustainability, and travel security.
4. Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage budgets for various departments and operational units within the travel business.
- Analyze financial reports to track performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability.
- Manage pricing strategies, ensuring competitive pricing models while maintaining strong margins.
5. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor senior management and staff across multiple departments (sales, operations, marketing, customer service).
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Identify training needs and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
6. Marketing & Brand Management
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement effective strategies for brand positioning and market penetration.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives to enhance the company's online presence, customer engagement, and lead generation.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to raise the profile of the business and strengthen brand reputation.
7. Innovation & Technology Integration
- Drive innovation within the company by exploring new technologies, tools, and software to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay up to date with technological advancements in the travel and tourism industry and assess their potential integration into the business.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- Experience: At least 7 years of senior leadership experience in the travel or hospitality industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and managing cross-functional teams.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the travel industry, including corporate travel management, market trends, and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and P&L statements.
- Experience in leading a team and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
