To execute daily costing activities, including cost calculations, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation, ensuring accurate cost data for decision-making in the manufacturing operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES- ]Calculate and maintain standard costs for all finished goods (French fries, hash browns) and intermediate products.
- ]Assist in calculating and maintaining standard costs for finished goods and raw materials.
- ]Update cost components (materials, labor, overhead) as directed.
- ]Support new product costing with data collection.
- ]Collect and analyze manufacturing data to calculate variances (purchase price, usage, yield).
- ]Prepare variance reports and highlight significant issues to the Costing Controller.
- ]Track waste, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
- ]Assist in monthly inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- ]Support physical inventory counts and analyze count variances.
- ]Review inventory transactions for accuracy.
- ]Monitor raw material prices (potatoes, oil, packaging) and update cost impacts.
- ]Track production costs and flag unusual trends.
- ]Support cost-saving initiatives with data analysis.
- ]Prepare routine costing reports for management review.
- ]Support month-end closing with costing-related journal entries and reconciliations.
- ]Maintain organized files for all costing calculations and analyses.
- ]Support audits by providing documentation and explanations
REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Costing, or related field.
- CMA or equivalent certification is advanced.
- 35 years of experience in costing, accounting, or manufacturing finance.
- Experience in food processing or FMCG is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of costing principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
