Cost Accountant -Full Time

Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and controlling project and operational costs to ensure accurate cost reporting and improved financial performance. The role supports management by providing cost insights related to materials, labor, and overheads, particularly within steel and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze project costs, including materials, labor, and overheads.

2. Prepare cost reports and variance analysis against budgets.

3. Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates.

4. Track actual costs and highlight cost overruns or savings.

5. Coordinate with procurement, technical, and site teams on cost-related matters.

6. Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.

7. Support monthly financial closing related to cost accounting.

Requirements:

1. 12 years experience in cost accounting

2. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce

3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles

4. Good understanding of project costing and budgeting

5. Proficiency in MS Excel (cost sheets, analysis, reports)

6. Experience with ERP or accounting systems is a plus
