Cost Accountant Team Leader

Role Summary

The Cost Accountant Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all cost accounting activities to ensure accurate cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role manages the cost accounting team, monitors production and project costs, analyzes variances, and provides insights to support management decisions and improve profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to drive operational efficiency and strategic financial performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the cost accounting team and review their daily work.
• Prepare cost reports and share results with management.
• Monitor project and production costs to identify variances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with cost analysis.
• Work with finance, operations, and procurement teams to control costs.
• Ensure all cost data is recorded correctly and follows company policies.
• Help improve cost control and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 46 years of experience in cost accounting, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of cost analysis and budgeting.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
