Cost Chief Accountant

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cost accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of costs.
• Monitor project and operational costs against approved budgets and highlight variances.
• Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasts in coordination with different departments technical department .
• Perform budget vs. actual analysis and report significant deviations to management.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and financial performance reports.
• Ensure proper cost allocation and cost control procedures across projects.
• Support financial closing activities related to cost and budgeting.
• Assist in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Supervise and guide junior accountants or analysts within the cost/budgeting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• +5 years of experience in cost accounting.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within finance or accounting.
• Strong experience using SAP
