We are looking for a sharp, detail-orientedCost Control Accountantto join our team in Alexandria and take ownership of monitoring,
analyzing, and optimizing our cost structures.
What will you be doing
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cost accounting function, including managing current cost rates, monthly closing activities, and variance analysis.
- Monitor production processes to ensure accurate calculation of product costs.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity within the cost accounting function.
- Review standard costs versus actual costs to identify and address discrepancies.
- Analyze production variances and provide insights on deviations.
- Recommend cost-effective measures to support financial efficiency and operational improvements.
- Support the implementation of cost accounting systems and the establishment of internal controls.
- Calculate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in alignment with inventory cost flow methods.
- Participate in monthly physical stocktaking activities for both the factory and retail stores.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in cost control within FMCG industry
- Hands-on experience in costing and stock control modules of Odoo systems
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and BOM
- Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
