Cost Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed work budget/value engineering/budget scenarios
• Accountable for project budget and cost control services for medium size projects
• Assist Cost Control Manager/Senior Cost Control Engineer to deliver thorough, independent and complete Cost Control Reports for Projects
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, correctness of cost allocation, analysis of cost trends
• Collect all relevant needed information (work Cost, Actual data etc.) from the Estimators, Reporting / planning engineers, Project manager, and/or from finance department
• Process and analyse all gathered data into estimate software (InEight) and create Cost forecast
• Timely preparation of departmental reports, analysis of trends, comparison with Cost, explanation of variances
• Driving the process of consolidation and reporting automation
• Regularly visit project site, coordinate and consult with project management team, inform them of critical issues
• Assign and approve Cost for PR / IR as per approved Work Budget
• Ensure gathered date and Cost information is maintained and knowledge is transferred to estimation and commercial department
• Budget reports preparation, support of Sr. Cost Control Engineer/BCM in ongoing projects and non-routine activities
• Assist in preparing estimates as per the ad hoc requirement from Project Manager / team
• Ad-hoc reports preparation, support of PCM / BCM in ongoing projects and non-routine activities
• Identify the Risks, opportunities & assumptions made within the Work budget
• Technical skills with thorough knowledge of estimating principals
• Responsible for all well organized & accurate documentation for internal & external audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in a related discipline, or equivalent
• Minimum 05 years of experience in Estimation, Budget and Cost Control in related industries
• Preferably with experience in dredging and civil marine or infrastructure projects
