Job Description

  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure projects are completed within budget
  • Prepare, review, and analyze cost estimates and project budgets
  • Compare actual project costs to budgeted costs and provide explanations for any variances
  • Create and maintain cost-tracking spreadsheets and reports
  • Track and report on project progress and cost performance
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-reduction measures
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting
  • Prepare and submit cost reports to clients and management as required
  • Cost controller shall control and issue the purchase orders as per the approved budget by the management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proficient in cost-tracking software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • minimum 5 years of cost controlling/budgeting for Oil & gas
  • shutdown/turnaround experience
  • having experience with contractor-side company in the Saudi / Gulf
