Cost Control Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost management activities including estimating, forecasting, reporting, allocation, benchmarking, and cost control.
- Review and validate project cost estimates, assumptions, and data to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
- Develop and maintain cost planning models and cost databases to support project estimating and funding requirements.
- Review contractor and EPC cost estimates and conditioning in line with established practices and standards.
- Support project funding submissions including advance commitments, full funding, and supplementary funding packages.
- Participate as Cost SME in governance activities such as Gate Reviews, Independent Project Reviews, audits, and constructability reviews.
- Provide ongoing cost management support to project management teams, highlighting risks, deviations, and mitigation actions.
- Support change management processes, including cost estimating for change orders and scope variations.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardize cost control processes and procedures across major projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years experience in a business or project-related function.
- At least 4 years experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role or overseeing contractors, vendors, or service providers.
- Strong exposure to major capital projects and EPC environments.
