Cost Control & Planning Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the PMO & Cost Control Manager in monitoring project costs, budgets, WIP and invoicing across the company's business units (Rollout, and Power & Generators), and in maintaining project planning/scheduling tools — to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, with accurate and timely reporting to senior management
• Maintain and update the cost control trackers (Dashboard, Master Sheet) covering POs, invoices, budgets and WIP across all business units
• Track and analyze Budget vs. Actual cost, revenue and Gross Margin by project and business unit
• Prepare inputs for the periodic PMO reporting decks (Invoice Performance, WIP movement, GM movement, Closing Report analysis)
• Support project planning and scheduling activities and monitor progress against plan
• Coordinate with Finance, PMO and site/project teams to resolve cost, WIP and invoicing discrepancies
• Support Oracle EBS Projects budget entries/reallocations and related documentation
• Assist with cost and planning analysis as required by the PMO & Cost Control Manager

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil / Architectural / Electrical / Mechanical).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control, project controls or project planning, preferably within construction or telecom infrastructure projects.
• Strong cost control & budgeting skills; project planning & scheduling
• Advanced MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards)
• ERP systems literacy
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
• Clear reporting & presentation skills
• Effective coordination with Finance, PMO and site teams
• Ability to work under tight reporting deadlines
• Prior experience with Oracle EBS Projects (Budgets module) or a similar ERP is a plus
• Familiarity with WIP / COGS / Gross Margin tracking and invoice reconciliation; Primavera P6 or MS Project scheduling knowledge is a plus
• PMP or a Cost Control certification is a plus
• Background in telecom rollout or construction contracting is preferred.
