Job description
Key Responsibilities
Develop, monitor, and update project budgets and cost baselines.
Track actual vs. budget costs and prepare variance and trend analyses with clear explanations and recommendations.
Support pricing, BOQs, and cost breakdowns for proposals and change orders.
Monitor commitments, invoices, and payments to ensure alignment with contracts and budgets.
Prepare periodic cost reports (monthly/quarterly) for management in Egypt and Canada.
Coordinate with project managers and finance to ensure proper cost allocation and revenue recognition at project level.
Maintain and enhance cost control processes, approvals, and documentation.
Oversee general administration control related to contracts, suppliers, and project documentation.
Contribute to financial KPIs, dashboards, and performance tracking for projects.
Qualifications
3-4 years of experience as a Cost Controller / Project Accountant / Project Cost Analyst.
Experience with projects in one or more of the following sectors:
Technology / software / engineering services
Energy (oil & gas, power, renewables, industrial plants)
Construction or infrastructure
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Engineering degree with relevant experience will be considered.
Strong skills in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Experience with project-based accounting / WBS and cost tracking.
Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems and strong Excel skills (reports, cost models, dashboards).
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and follow-up.
Good command of English (written and spoken) for coordination with international teams.
Ability to work in a multi-project, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
Experience in engineering, digital twin, BIM, or geospatial-related projects.
Familiarity with IFRS and international project reporting standards
