Description
We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our team in the Gulf region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget, and providing financial analysis and reporting to project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project budgets, including tracking actual costs against budgeted costs
- Review project financial reports and analyze variances to identify areas of concern or improvement
- Provide financial guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement cost control strategies
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets for future projects
- Review and approve project invoices and expenses, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and present financial reports to project stakeholders, including senior management and external clients
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the construction or engineering industry
- Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
- Knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
