Job Summary:

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring and controlling all food, beverage, and operational costs across the restaurant chain. The role ensures accurate cost tracking, supports menu pricing, and identifies areas for financial efficiency while maintaining product quality and operational standards. This position plays a key role in supporting management decisions through timely reporting and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily food, beverage, and operating costs across all restaurant branches.
  • Review purchase orders, invoices, and inventory movements to ensure cost accuracy.
  • Conduct regular variance analyses between actual and theoretical costs.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing and store teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining recipe costing and menu pricing structures.
  • Prepare and present periodic cost reports to management with actionable insights.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company cost control policies and financial reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure smooth cost-related workflows.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 35 years of relevant experience as a Cost Controller, preferably in the F&B or hospitality sector.
  • Proven track record in managing restaurant or catering cost control processes.
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive mindset with problem-solving capability.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of F&B costing methodologies and menu engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and cost transparency.
  • Capable of coordinating with cross-functional teams and multiple outlets.
