We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Cost Controller to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring profitability, cost efficiency, and the highest standards of food and beverage operations across our properties.
As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for managing F&B cost structures, overseeing inventory and pricing strategies, and ensuring accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Executive Chef, Restaurant Managers, and Finance team to optimize operations, control waste, and maintain quality while aligning costs with budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control food & beverage costs across all outlets.
- Oversee inventory management, menu costing, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
- Verify transactions in POS systems including voids, discounts, staff meals, and complimentary items.
- Ensure proper linking of recipes, articles, and selling prices in POS and materials control systems.
- Prepare accurate daily, monthly, and ad-hoc cost reports for management.
- Perform surprise spot checks, stock counts, and audits to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
- Continuously assess and enhance F&B control procedures to ensure best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Hospitality Management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems, accounting software, and inventory control tools.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
