Job Summary
The Cost Engineer will support project teams in the oil & gas sector by preparing cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring accurate cost control throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, and project activities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets and cost plans.
- Track actual project costs and compare them with the approved budget.
- Prepare regular cost reports and summaries for management.
- Review and verify invoices, quantities, and cost-related documents.
- Support cost forecasting, cash flow preparation, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to gather cost data.
- Ensure compliance with cost control standards used in oil & gas projects.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost engineering, cost control, or estimating.
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good proficiency in MS Excel and cost tracking tools
