Cost Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Analyze project costs and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather cost-related data.
• Monitor project progress and actual expenditures to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare contingency plans to mitigate financial risks.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate terms to ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain a database of cost data for benchmarking and analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or related field.
• CCP Certified
• Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
