Ontime Healthcare is in search of a knowledgeable and meticulous Cost Estimator within the Fitout Industry. As a Cost Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project development process by estimating project costs and ensuring financial feasibility for our fitout projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and construction schedules to prepare precise cost estimates
- Engage with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify project requirements and nuances
- Conduct market research to gather data on pricing for materials, labor, and equipment
- Provide detailed estimates on direct and indirect costs associated with each project
- Monitor ongoing projects to track expenditures against estimated budgets and ensure financial compliance
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender submissions
- Update and maintain a cost database to reference previous projects and benchmark future estimates
- Prepare periodic reports on cost-per-square-foot for the fitout industry to assess trends and provide insights
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation within the fitout or construction industry
- Proficient in industry-standard estimating software and tools
- Strong numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively
- Familiarity with local market conditions and pricing trends is advantageous
