Our client, a leading Construction Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join their Cost, Commercial & Procurement team in Riyadh for a major Data Center program. The role is responsible for cost planning, control, reporting, and commercial oversight to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining financial integrity and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost control frameworks, budgets, and forecasts for data center projects.
- Monitor project expenditure, track variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure accurate cost planning and reporting.
- Review contractor and supplier payment applications, claims, and variations.
- Support tendering, bid evaluation, and cost benchmarking for procurement activities.
- Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for senior management.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives across projects.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, reporting standards, and contractual obligations.
- Mentor junior cost engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experiences & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in cost management, including data center, mission-critical, or high-complexity construction projects.
- Strong understanding of cost planning, forecasting, value engineering, and contractor management.
- Proficient with cost management and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Primavera, or similar).
- Knowledge of FIDIC or equivalent contract frameworks is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in consultancy environments is preferred.
