Cost & Planning Manager (Manufacturing)

Role Purpose

Lead manufacturing cost control and planning by managing product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to maximize profitability and support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage standard cost setup and periodic cost roll updates.

• Lead production cost analysis and investigate standard vs. actual variances.

• Oversee inventory valuation policies and review inventory revaluations.

• Manage the annual budget and rolling forecast process.

• Analyze product and branch profitability and provide margin insights.

• Monitor capital expenditure (CAPEX) and project costs.

• Collaborate with production, planning, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency.

• Prepare financial and operational reports to support management decision-making.

• Cost Accounting (Cost Centers & Distribution Rules)

• Production (Bill of Materials & Production Orders)

• Item Cost & Inventory Valuation

• Budget Setup & Budget vs. Actual

• MRP Forecasts

• Crystal Reports / Pervasive Analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, or a related field.

• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, or financial planning within a manufacturing environment.

• At least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Experience with SAP Business One is required.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing and inventory valuation.

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.

• Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system skills.

Languages

• Fluent in English.

• Arabic is an advantage.
