1. JOB PURPOSE:
To oversee and manage the costing activities, ensure accurate cost analysis, monitor cost control processes, and support management with financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and review product or project costing and ensure accuracy of cost calculations.
- Monitor cost allocation and ensure proper recording of direct and indirect costs.
- Analyze cost variances and identify reasons for deviations from budget or standard costs.
- Prepare periodic cost reports and provide recommendations to management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to operational and production costs.
- Coordinate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost data.
- Review supplier costs, material costs, and labor costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Assist in improving costing systems and cost control processes.
- Supervise and guide the costing team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is a plus.
Experience:
- 7–8 years of experience in costing, accounting, or financial analysis.
Languages:
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
