Role Summary
The Credit Controller plays a key role in managing the company's financial stability by ensuring timely payments from customers and effectively managing outstanding debts. This position involves monitoring customer accounts, coordinating with internal teams, resolving payment issues and maintaining strong customer relationships.

- Customer Communication and Relationship Management
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Accounts Receivable: Track customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and overdue invoices.
- Customer Follow-Up: Contact customers via email and phone to remind them of due or overdue payments in a professional and courteous manner.
- Credit Assessment: Evaluate new and existing customers credit limits by reviewing their financial status, payment history, and credit reports.
- Invoice and Statement Management: Ensure invoices and statements are issued accurately and delivered to customers on time.
- Payment Allocation: Record and allocate incoming payments correctly within the accounting system.
- Dispute Resolution: Work closely with customers and internal teams (Sales, Operations, Billing) to resolve billing issues and disputes that may delay payments.
- Aging Analysis: Prepare and maintain the Accounts Receivable aging report and highlight critical overdue accounts for management review.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on collection status, overdue accounts, and cash flow projections to management.
- Collection Strategy: Implement collection strategies for overdue accounts, including setting payment plans where necessary.
- Legal Coordination: Liaise with the legal department or external agencies for accounts requiring legal action.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers while ensuring timely collection.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company credit policies and financial procedures.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Debt collection preferably in a B2B environment.
- Prior experience in a similar role within the UAE is required.
- Strong knowledge of credit control processes, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability in effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution, with excellent problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field.
- MBA is considered an advantage.
- Understanding of the Waste Management industry and strong commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic is mandatory.
