Job Description

Job Purpose:

  1. To check / comply and obtain / advise the securities/documentation functions for Corporate Banking Group / Remedial Management Department.
  2. Liaison with Relationship Officers, Relationship Managers, Senior Relationship Managers, Associate Vice President, Senior Vice President for completion of credit and security documentation and for daily work around activities.
  3. Prepare and finalize draft Facility Agreement / Documents to be executed by the customers of Corporate Banking Group / Wholesale Banking / Remedial Department/ Corporate Finance and Financial Institution Group independently.
  4. Co-ordinate with the Mortgage Officer of the Bank for perfection of the Mortgage for real estate, plant and machinery, assignment of lease, registration of charge of immovable assets to protect the legal rights of the Bank in the event of default.
  5. Liaison with legal department to ensure all the non-standard documents are validated and seek legal opinion on any deviation from standard template of the Bank's documents format.
  6. Checking and scrutiny of syndication documents and processing the documentation in liaison with legal to ensure the documents are perfected as advised being CBI Bank being a security agent, facility agent and/ or participant agent Bank in syndication deal.
  7. Authorize Release of approved limits (jointly) for implementation in Core Banking System after perfection of documentation / securities, terms and conditions precedent.
  8. Monitoring and escalating all exceptions of the documents / deferrals to credit team / business units.
  9. Ensure no Breach of Service Level Agreements and Turn Around as per CAD SOP.
  10. Ensure all data input and scanning are captured in the Electronic Data Management System with 100% accuracy.
  11. Ensure scrutiny of documents are done as per the approval and any deviation or irregularities are reported to Team / Credit.
  12. Ensure no deviation from the credit policy of the Bank.
  13. To ensure the audit rating for the department is minimum Satisfactory
  14. File Management and Archiving old documents/not required documents.

Overall job purpose is to ensure documents and collaterals are obtained as per Approval. Ensure all the conditions precedent including internal condition is compiled prior to release of limits. Manage risk and work in efficient manner to execute and process all the transactions/ release of documents/limits for the corporate/business banking and recovery team with NIL errors and ensure that the Bank does not incur financial/operational loss due to non-perfection of documentation due to incorrect authorization of limits / pricing / collaterals / terms and conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Release of credit limits as per the approval received from Credit Risk Management after perfection of documents/collaterals.
  2. Ensure all collaterals and terms and conditions are captured in all documents / Facility Agreements as per the credit approval for utilization by the borrowers/customers and internal teams of the Bank
  3. Monitoring and Reporting of all exceptions e.g. expired documents, expired collaterals, defected documents and deferral documents for providing the renewed documents.
  4. Compliance of turn-around time in delivering services to Corporate/Business Banking/Recovery Team
  5. To ensure that the approval is within the delegation of the credit matrix and report any breach in delegation to the credit department.
  6. Authorize Release of credit limits, monitoring documents, reporting irregularities under EDMS system for all documents and follow up to resolve exceptions.
  7. Registration of EMCR with amendments
  8. Ensuring Audit Rating for the CAD is always Satisfactory/ Good or Excellent.
  9. Monitoring of Covenants an escalation of breach to credit team
  10. To ensure the delivery of services is of best in the Bank and implement the Service Level Agreements between CAD/Business Units.
  11. To ensure completion of the task below on daily basis for below activities:

-Release and authorization of limits (Working Capital Limits, Syndication, Real Estate, Commercial Loans) after perfection of documents.

-Ensure no loss to the Bank due to incorrect pricing / service charges/fees

-Daily follow-on documentation exception reports

-Maintain the file archiving system

-Data Input / Scanning of documents for all authorized releases at CIF level

-File management for non-required documents to be sent for achieving

-File cleanup for old records / not required records.

-Update of the CBRB system for all the new customer and modification of existing customers

Education Level Required:

  • Diploma in Banking / Bachelors in Commerce/Business / Accounting and Financial / Credit Risk Management

Professional / Technical Qualification / Diplomas:

  • Banking Diploma

Experience:

  • Qualified experience in a Commercial Bank with excellent knowledge of credit administration job and execution of process for corporate banking / business banking. Good knowledge about operational procedures, risk management, credit reporting and monitoring.

Specialist Skills Required for the Job:

  • Understanding of Credit process / Manuals
  • Analytical and good product knowledge regarding the working capital limits, corporate loans, real estate loans
  • Knowledge about UAE Central Bank's regulatory requirements
  • Negotiation and convincing skills
  • Adequate oral and written communication skills
