first AI-powered credit risk management platform for real-time due diligence, risk tracking, and underwriting of data center developments. Our product identifies the best sites, mitigates development risks, and helps financial backers unlock capital with confidence. Azraq works across the entire investment value chain: from development, operations, growth capital to sale.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Credit Risk Analyst based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work-from-home options. The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for assessing credit risk for various risk factors (environmental, market, financial and execution) analyzing data center portfolios, managing risk exposures, and evaluating investment opportunities. Responsibilities also include conducting risk analysis, utilizing analytical frameworks, and contributing to credit risk management strategies. Interaction with cross-functional teams and preparing detailed risk assessment reports will be an integral part of the role.

Key Responsibilites

  • Evaluate project execution risks (grid delays, permits, EPC issues)
  • Assess market exposure (power tariffs, whitespace demand, hyperscaler anchor risk)
  • Analyse PUE, capacity factor, and resilience metrics
  • Quantify ESG and energy-carbon penalties
  • Run scenario simulations (construction delays, power price volatility, stranded MW risk)

Build Monte Carlo simulations to quantify probability distributions for:

Construction delays and cost overruns

Power price volatility and grid penalties

Capacity utilisation (IT load ramp-up)

Interest-rate and FX movement

PUE drift, energy consumption uncertainty

Generate probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and expected loss (EL) using scenario-based and stochastic methods.

Validate model inputs, sensitivities, correlations, and stress-testing parameters.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical and Risk Analysis skills to assess and evaluate financial and credit-related risks.
  • Proficiency in Credit Risk Management practices and methodologies.

Proficiency in stochastic modelling, Monte Carlo simulation, and scenario design.

  • Experience with Finance and Portfolio Management in a real estate or investment-focused environment. Ideally in digital infrastructure.

Knowledge of digital infrastructure fundamentals: PUE, grid capacity, demand ramp, resilience, SLAs, EPC processes.

Understanding of credit frameworks: PD/LGD/EAD, IFRS 9, Basel III/IV.

  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in risk management or finance (e.g., CFA, PRM, FRM) are an advantage.
