About the Role
ContactCars.com is Egypt's leading digital automotive marketplace, operating across five product lines: used car listings, new car ordering, auto finance, insurance, and valuation. We are looking for a CRM & Marketing Automation Manager to own the full customer engagement and retention function from journey architecture to commercial outcomes across all product lines.
This role sits at the intersection of data, automation, and growth. You will design and deploy behavioral-triggered journeys, own retention and reactivation KPIs, and identify retargeting, upsell and cross-sell opportunities across our user base. You will be the primary owner of our CleverTap platform and work closely with the growth analyst, performance marketing, and product teams to close the loop between acquisition and lifetime value.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and operate the CleverTap platform end-to-end: event mapping, segment building, journey deployment, and performance optimization
- Design multi-channel lifecycle journeys across push notifications, WhatsApp, SMS, and in-app messaging covering onboarding, drop-off recovery, reactivation, and upsell triggers
- Build and maintain behavioral segments based on user actions, funnel stage, product interaction, and inactivity tier
- Define and track retention KPIs for each product line: listings success rate, finance lead nurture, insurance leads and cross-sell rate, Otlobha drop-off recovery
- Identify upsell and cross-sell moments in the user lifecycle e.g. a car lister being nudged from valuation, a finance applicant being introduced to insurance
- Collaborate with the growth analyst to translate audience data from GA4, Mixpanel, and Elastic search into actionable CRM segments
- Work with the performance marketing manager to align retargeting audiences across paid channels (Meta, Google) and owned CRM channels
- Develop and continuously optimize message copy, timing logic, and channel sequencing based on A/B test results
- Report weekly on journey performance, channel opt-in rates, and KPI contribution with clear attribution to revenue and conversion outcomes
- Contribute to the marketing automation roadmap and flag platform capability gaps or integration needs
Required Qualifications
- 46 years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation
- Hands-on experience with a behavioral CRM/engagement platform CleverTap, Braze, MoEngage, or equivalent
- Proven ownership of a retention or reactivation KPI not just campaign execution
- Strong segmentation logic: ability to design audience tiers by behavior, recency, and funnel stage without relying on a data team for every query
- Solid analytical foundation comfortable working with cohort reports, funnel drop-off data, and A/B test results
- Arabic copywriting capability for WhatsApp and SMS in Egyptian colloquial
- Fluent in English for internal reporting and strategy documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at a digital marketplace, fintech, or e-commerce platform in Egypt or MENA OLX, Dubizzle, Noon, Paymob, or similar
- Familiarity with GA4 event data and how to use it as a CRM trigger source
- Experience with push notification opt-in optimization
- Understanding of multi-product cross-sell funnels
