CSA QA/QC Engineer

James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CSA QA/QC Engineer to join our QA/QC team and support the successful delivery of Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) works across our construction projects.

The role is responsible for ensuring CSA works, materials, workmanship, and installations comply with the approved Project Quality Plan, project specifications, drawings, contract requirements, Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate CSA Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements in line with project requirements.
• Raise Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and verify that delivered materials comply with approved technical submittals.
• Carry out material, workmanship, and site inspections with Consultants and third-party agencies as required.
• Ensure Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) are submitted on time and coordinate the prompt resubmission and closure of rejected MIRs/WIRs.
• Coordinate mock-ups and benchmark inspections with Consultants and discipline engineers where required.
• Conduct regular site quality inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, Method Statements, and ITPs.
• Coordinate required tests, review results, and maintain inspection, testing, and quality records.
• Manage NCRs and SORs, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and timely close-out of identified quality issues.
• Ensure measuring and testing equipment used on site has valid calibration.
• Verify that the latest approved IFC drawings are being used on site and that superseded drawings are appropriately identified or removed.
• Maintain red-line/mark-up drawings and CSA close-out documentation, including As-Built drawings and test records.
• Coordinate snagging, final inspections, and quality close-out activities for project handover.
• Provide quality guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, inspection and testing methods, drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Experience with ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, and project quality documentation.
• Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• QA/QC or ISO 9001 certification will be an advantage
