Job Summary
The position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring social compliance strategies across our supply chain in Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan under our company and our customers guidelines. This role ensures that all factories, suppliers, and partners adhere to local laws, international labor standards, and our customers Code of Conduct. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in audit management at reputable compliance organizations, stakeholder engagement, and cross-cultural communication, with a focus on continuous improvement and capacity building.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance Program Management
- In-depth knowledge of the countries (Egypt, Turkey and Jordan) labor rules, culture and CSR challenges (wearing apparels and laundries)
- Extensive CSR auditing experience
- Establish and maintain good liaison with local Better Work office
2. Audits & Assessments
- Conduct social compliance audits for suppliers and factories, ensure audit quality, consistency, and transparency
- Follow up Better Work reports and third-party audit reports
- Analyze audit findings, identify root causes of non-compliance, and develop corrective action plans (CAPs) with suppliers
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and facilities
- Establish and maintain good liaison with Better Work, local NGOs, trade unions, government bodies, and industry associations.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed compliance or incident reports for regional and global leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of audits, CAPs etc in Compliance database (Pivot88 CSR module)
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward compliance goals
- Conduct regular touch base meeting with internal Merchandising, Quality or other functional teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business, Law, International Relations, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in social compliance, ethical sourcing, or human rights within supply chains
- Understanding of environmental compliance and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks
- Proven experience managing compliance programs across multiple countries, preferably in Egypt, Turkey, and/or Jordan
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is required; Turkish is a strong advantage.
- Microsoft products skills including Outlook, Excel, Words; experience in process data in on-line platform and ERP
- Willingness to travel up across Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan
- Basic knowledge on supply chain, cotton traceability, CTPAT, Brand Protection is preferred
