Job Description

Our client is a leading global hospitality company headquartered in the US and founded in 1950's. It operates, manages, and franchises more than 1,000 hotels and resorts worldwide under a diverse portfolio of brands, ranging from luxury to upscale and midscale/select-service. Recognized for its customer-centric approach, blending luxury hospitality with innovation, the Group is a key versatile player in the global hotel industry. In order to support their intensive growth they are recruiting a Cluster Culinary Director based in Cairo (Egypt).

Responsibilities:

With a direct report to the Cluster General Manager and to the Group COO you are responsible for overseeing the culinary operations across multiple properties within the luxury hotel group. This leadership role ensures consistency in quality, innovation, and guest satisfaction while aligning with the brand's standards of excellence.

The position requires a visionary leader with strong operational expertise, creative flair, and the ability to inspire diverse culinary teams. In this context your major tasks include :

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement the culinary vision across the cluster, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
  • Develop innovative menus and dining concepts that reflect market trends and guest expectations.
  • Drive culinary excellence while maintaining cost efficiency and sustainability.

Operational Management

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations across all properties, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
  • Standardize processes and recipes to guarantee consistency across outlets.
  • Monitor food production, purchasing, and inventory management to optimize profitability

Financial & Business Accountability

  • Prepare and manage culinary budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Drive revenue growth through innovative dining concepts, banqueting, and catering services.
  • Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality.

Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor Executive Chefs and culinary staff across the cluster.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement performance management systems to evaluate and enhance team effectiveness

Guest Experience

  • Ensure exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage Directors to integrate culinary offerings into overall guest journeys.
  • Handle guest feedback and implement improvements to maintain high satisfaction scores.

Innovation & Sustainability

  • Introduce sustainable practices in sourcing, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
  • Stay ahead of culinary trends and integrate them into the group's offerings.
  • Partner with local producers and suppliers to highlight regional authenticity.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as Executive Chef or Culinary Director in luxury hospitality ideally in the GCC region.
  • Strong leadership and multi-property management skills.
  • Expertise in international cuisines and fine dining concepts.
  • Excellent financial acumen and ability to manage large-scale budgets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Passion for innovation, sustainability, and delivering world-class guest experiences.
