Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Developer to design, integrate, customize, validate, and maintain the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi software stack for an Automotive Android (AOSP) based In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Head Unit. The role requires strong system-level Android connectivity expertise, including driver/HAL integration with a 3rd-party chipset vendor, and ensuring automotive-grade performance, stability, interoperability, and compliance readiness.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Led integration and customization of Bluetooth,Wi-Fi connectivity stacks on Automotive Android OS, including Vendor, Supplicant, Hostapd HALs, AIDL-HIDL migration support, and AOSP build/debug workflows for IVI platforms
- Enabled and optimized Bluetooth,Wi-Fi IVI connectivity features including multi-user, multi-display support and audio & video streaming solutions on Automotive Android platforms
- Drove validation, debugging, performance optimization, Android CTS, CDD compliance, and Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance certification readiness for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity on Automotive Android platforms
- Implemented secure Bluetooth,Wi-Fi connectivity, OTA update and patching strategies, and led defect triage with root-cause analysis across framework, HAL, driver, and firmware layers in Automotive Android systems
- Collaborated with chipset vendors, system integrators, and internal teams to align interfaces, resolve integration issues, and ensure smooth integration of the IVI platform stack
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Android platform/AOSP development with system-level debugging across framework/services and native layers.
- Strong Bluetooth fundamentals: architecture, profiles, common use cases, and Android Bluetooth stack understanding.
- Strong Wi-Fi fundamentals: modes/standards (STA/AP, Wi-Fi Aware/RTT concepts) and Android Wi-Fi architecture understanding.
- Experience integrating Wi-Fi HAL surfaces (Vendor/Supplicant/Hostapd) and familiarity with AIDL/HIDL patterns in Android.
- Experience with A2DP, ARCVP, HFP/HSP, BLE GATT/GAP.
- Understanding of RTP/RTSP, TCP/UDP, Multicast/Unicast Streaming, DLNA/Miracast/AirPlay/Chromecast concepts.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Java (Kotlin beneficial for some Android system components).
- Strong debugging skills using Android/system tools (logs, platform diagnostics) and ability to work in low-power / constrained environments.
- Experience with Bluetooth qualification tooling (sniffers/PTS) and supporting SIG qualification workflows.
- Experience with Wi-Fi certification processes, test labs, or automation harness expectations.
- Exposure to coexistence/interference mitigation and RF/performance issue triage in complex environments.
- Exposure to Bluetooth Audio Codecs.
- Knowledge of network performance tuning and latency optimization.
- Experience supporting Android platform upgrades and compatibility requirements (CTS/CDD alignment).
