Customer Service Executive (Freight Forwarding)

Job Summary

Manage client shipments and coordinate logistics operations across sea, air, and land transport modes while maintaining strong customer and vendor relationships to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate quotations, bookings, and shipment execution by liaising with overseas offices and agents
• Manage import/export enquiries and bookings across sea, air, and land transport modes to ensure accurate shipment processing
• Activate shipments based on confirmed selling rates and cost structures to ensure timely dispatch
• Collaborate with sales personnel to ensure smooth handover and operational follow-through of shipments
• Keep track of shipments
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and vendors to support repeat business
• Establish and manage client-specific standing orders or SOPs for recurring shipments to streamline operations
• Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Finance) and external partners to ensure seamless shipment execution
• Check and verify incoming job-related invoices before submission to the Finance Department to ensure billing accuracy
• Uphold company policies including compliance, regulatory requirements, HSSE&Q standards, and Code of Business Conduct
• Stay informed on industry trends, freight regulations, and market developments to maintain competitive knowledge

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting

• Salary range: $2800 - $3500
