Responsible for managing and executing all customs clearance activities for imports and exports, ensuring full compliance with local regulations while minimizing delays, penalties, and additional costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review all shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin).
- Coordinate with government authorities (Customs, SFDA, Ports, etc.).
- Manage end-to-end clearance process from shipment arrival until final release.
- Ensure correct HS code classification for all shipments.
- Validate customs duties, taxes, and related charges.
- Liaise with customs brokers and clearance agents.
- Handle shipment issues such as inspections, holds, and delays.
- Monitor critical shipments and reduce clearance lead time.
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and company policies.
- Provide periodic reports on clearance performance (cost, lead time, issues).
Key Requirements:
- +2 years of experience in customs clearance or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and systems (e.g., FASAH, SABER in KSA).
- Good understanding of Incoterms.
- Experience dealing with government entities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
