Cutting manager

Role Description The Cutting Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Ismailia, Egypt. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire fabric cutting operation, including planning cutting schedules, optimizing fabric usage, and ensuring accurate execution of markers and patterns. The Cutting Manager supervises cutting staff, coordinates with production, merchandising, and quality teams, and ensures that daily cutting targets are met in line with delivery timelines and quality standards. The role involves monitoring machinery and equipment, enforcing safety and environmental practices, and maintaining accurate records of fabric consumption, wastage, and outputs. The Cutting Manager is also expected to identify process improvements, support training of team members, and collaborate with management to meet production and efficiency goals.
Qualifications

• Strong experience in cutting room operations, including marker making, fabric spreading, and cutting for denim and ready-made garments.
• Proficiency in production planning and workflow management, with the ability to meet daily targets and optimize fabric utilization.
• Solid knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and quality standards within large-scale manufacturing environments.
• Experience supervising teams, providing guidance and training, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and performance-focused work culture.
• Ability to use cutting room machinery and tools, and familiarity with basic ERP or production tracking systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, merchandising, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Relevant technical or vocational qualification in textiles, garment technology, or industrial production; a bachelor's degree in a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in denim or activewear manufacturing and exposure to international brands or export-oriented factories is a plus.
