Job Description
A Cyber Security Associate will be responsible for protecting our organization's computer systems and networks from threats. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cyber security principles and a desire to grow their skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Respond to security incidents, analyze breaches, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Provide security awareness training to employees.
Maintain and update security tools and technologies.
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are highly desirable.
