Job Description

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to protect the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats. This role involves continuous monitoring, assessment, and improvement of security controls to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis across systems and networks.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Develop and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor system logs, network traffic, and alerts to identify potential threats or breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NCA ECC, NIST).
  • Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, including user provisioning and RBAC enforcement.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate security into projects and systems development.
  • Conduct awareness training and promote cybersecurity best practices across departments.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and security frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
