Your New Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a prominent manufacturing and industrial operations leader based in Ras Al Khaimah. Operating a robust regional infrastructure, this organization is dedicated to maintaining high-spec, highly secure digital operations and IT networks across its enterprise and non-manufacturing facilities. The business is heavily invested in fortifying its internal cybersecurity posture, safeguarding core data assets, and ensuring strict compliance with ISO Integrated Management System (IMS) standards and regulatory frameworks.
Your New Role
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of IT, your primary mandate will be safeguarding the organization's internal digital landscape and enterprise assets. The core focus of this role centers on internal cyber security, infrastructure protection, and access governance—managing Identity & Access Management (IAM/PAM) alongside securing employee endpoints (laptops, mobile devices, and workstations) across the company. You will also bridge dual Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) functions to ensure total network availability, data security, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- IAM & Privileged Access Governance: Lead internal access security by continuously monitoring user access, privileged accounts, security policies, and authentication controls to enforce Least Privilege and Zero Trust principles.
- Endpoint & Device Protection: Manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and MDM solutions to secure all employee devices—including laptops, desktops, and mobile hardware—against malware, ransomware, and unauthorized access.
- Data & Infrastructure Security: Fortify internal data security and IT infrastructure by configuring firewalls, securing VPN access, monitoring data flows, and verifying routine system patch management and backups.
- Incident Response & Isolation: Monitor SIEM alerts (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) and investigate security events with full operational authority to isolate compromised devices, disable user accounts, or block malicious traffic.
- Vulnerability & System Management: Perform regular network scans, vulnerability assessments, and risk reviews across internal systems to proactively patch and remediate security gaps.
- Audit, Logging & Compliance: Maintain audit-ready security logs, incident reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support internal/external ISO IMS audits and corporate compliance requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, SOC, NOC, or IT Infrastructure Security, with a strong emphasis on internal device security, data security, and access control.
- Core Technical Skills: Proven experience managing IAM/PAM controls, EDR/endpoint protection tools, SIEM platforms, firewall administration, and laptop/device security enforcement.
- Infrastructure & Frameworks: Solid knowledge of network security protocols, infrastructure hardening, and security frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, Zero Trust Architecture).
- Certifications (Advantageous): CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CEH, OSCP, or CISSP.
- Mindset: Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities, high attention to detail regarding data privacy, and strict adherence to HSE protocols.
What You'll Get in Return
You will join a stable, high-performing IT team where you will serve as the internal security champion. In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, long-term stability within an established industrial group in Ras Al Khaimah, and the platform to directly shape and automate the organization's device security, IAM, PAM, and SOC operations.
